Azzedine Ounahi wasted no time showing off his qualities to Olympique Marseille, after scoring a goal of the season contender on his debut.

The Moroccan World Cup star replaced former Manchester United winger, Alexis Sanchez in the 73rd minute of the game against FC Nantes.

On the 90-minute mark, Ounahi scored a fantastic debut goal for the French giants.

In a video shared on social media, Ounahi received a fine pass from Jonathan Clauss, before twisting and turning a Nantes defender to fire home Marseille's second.

The French club profited from an own goal in the second half to open the scoring in the 57th minute.

Ounahi joined the former UEFA Champions League winners in the winter transfer window from Ligue 1 rivals, Angers.

The 22-year-old hogged the headlines during the World Cup, after starring in Morocco's historic semi-final feat.

Ounahi was the mastermind behind the Atlas Lions' victory over Portugal in the quarter-finals. He also produced a fine performance against Spain in the round of 16, as the north Africans beat the 2010 champions on penalties.

The Moroccan was one of the revelations of the entire tournament.

Ounahi joins Olympique Marseille

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on French giants, Olympique Marseille completing Ounahi's signing in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old midfielder has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal to join the French club from Ligue 1 rivals, Angers.

Ounahi became the subject of interest in Europe after a successful World Cup with the Atlas Lions, who reached the semi-finals.

Morocco's Boufal joins Al Rayyan

Another talented Morocco forward, Sofiane Boufal has joined Qatari giants, Al Rayyan SC in the winter transfer window.

Sports Brief reported the 29-year-old joined the league outfit in the Middle East after also leaving Angers in France.

Boufal has been on the radar of several clubs in Europe since the World Cup, but opted to return to Qatar instead.
