Jeffery Schlupp will be returning to the Black Stars team for the crucial World Cup play-offs against Nigeria later this month.

The Crystal Palace star is reported to have been in contact with interim coach Otto Addo over his inclusion into the team.

The 29-year-old missed the Africa Cup of Nations after he was excluded from Milovan Rajevac's team due to injury, but has recovered and has been a key player for Crystal Palace.

His return is seen as a huge boost for the Black Stars due to his versatility.

Schlupp last played for Ghana in the opening game of the World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia in November 2019, but was replaced early in the match after picking an injury.

The Black Stars hosts Nigeria in the first-leg in Cape Coast on March 25, 2022 before travelling to Abuja for the second-leg in four days time.
