Otto Addo agrees to continue as Ghana coach

Former Black Stars midfielder Otto Addo has reached an agreement with the Ghana Football Association to lead the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Addo was initially appointed as head coach of the Black Stars on an interim basis following the sack of Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac.

He was appointed as the head of a four-man technical team that comprised Aston Villa U23 coach George Boateng, ex-Asante Kotoko coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani and Chris Hughton, formerly of Newcastle United.

Ghana makes light work of Madagascar in 2023 AFCON qualifiers

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that youngsters Mohammed Kudus and Felix Afena-Gyan scored in quick succession before Osman Bukari netted late as Ghana made light work of Madagascar to start the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on a winning note.

The Black Stars got off to a bright start and should have broken the deadlock after three minutes when Jordan Ayew saw his low strike go inches wide.

Ten minutes later Fatawu Issahaku fired from outside the box and missed narrowly before combining with Afena-Gyan two minutes later, but the AS Roma forward's strike was deflected out for a corner kick.
