The Bundesliga giants are regarded as underdogs heading to the game against Real Madrid but they are not unfazed by the challenge ahead.

The 2022 UEFA Super Cup will take place in front of a limited crowd at Helsinki’s Olympic Stadium in Finland on August 10 with both Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt set to train at the ground the night before.

Ancelotti names strong squad to face Eintracht Frankfurt

Meanwhile, Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has named a strong squad to face Eintracht Frankfurt in Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup final slated for the Helsinki Stadium in Finland.

According to the Daily Post, the list includes top players such as Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Vinicius Jnr and Eden Hazard.

David Alaba and Toni Kroos to faceoff with ex-Bayern Munich teammates

Earlier, Sports Brief reported the 2022 UEFA Super Cup will bring the reunion of old teammates David Alaba, Toni Kroos, Mario Gotze, and Sebastian Rode who now ply their trades in Spain and Germany respectively.

All four players had featured for Bayern Munich in their careers and will be reunited again when Real Madrid tackles Eintracht Frankfurt in the Super Cup on Wednesday, August 10.

Alaba, Götze, and Kroos teamed up to help Bayern Munich to a 2013/14 league and cup double while Kroos and Rode played together for Germany's U17 team on three occasions as youngsters.
