Pep Guardiola is not ruling Liverpool out of the Premier League title race despite their defeat to Everton and sent a message to Manchester City and Arsenal to sit up.

City tore apart Brighton 4-0 away at the AMEX stadium to move within one point of Arsenal, who have played a game more, and two ahead of Liverpool in third place.

The Reds suffered a big blow in their pursuit of the Premier League title after losing 2-0 to Everton in the Merseyside derby, while Arsenal recorded their biggest win over rivals Chelsea on Tuesday, per Opta Analyst.

Guardiola warns Arsenal and Man City

City boss Guardiola is cautious and refuses to be too excited after what happened to Liverpool in their last game, admitting that the other two contenders could suffer the same.

“What happened to Liverpool—two defeats in a row—can happen to Arsenal, and it can happen to us,” he said, as quoted by the Evening Standard. What is important is that we are still there. There are a lot of games to play.

The Citizens are the best team in the league when it's time for the business end of the season, and if they could do it again, they will win their fourth consecutive title.

“What we have done in the past does not mean we will do it in the future. There are five Premier League games left, and we know the margins are so tight. We have to win every one. With each game, we are closer,” he added.

Next for City is an away trip to relegation battlers Nottingham Forest, while Arsenal will play another London derby against Tottenham. Liverpool will have a chance to bounce back against West Ham.

Ferdinand rules Arsenal out of title win

Sports Brief reported on Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand ruling Arsenal out and claiming they will not be English champions despite another impressive season.

The pundit tipped City to retain their title and pointed at two games that will cost Mikel Arteta's team the trophy, one of which is against Ferdinand's former club.
