Die-hard Argentina fan, Emiliano Matrangolo is risking it all to watch Lionel Messi play at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which is set to kick off on November 20.

The recent Business Administration graduate from Buenos Aires is prepared to spend his life savings to buy tickets to watch the Argentine national team in Qatar this year.

According to Premium Times, Matrangolo insists buying a car or house will not give him the sort of joy he will derive from watching Argentina lift another World Cup trophy.

“It’s four years of savings, saving some money every month for this dream, come what may. You stop doing things like buying a car or buying a house."

Matrangolo admitted it was a dream and an infatuation to attend the World Cup.

“Many people say look, he spends the money to go to Qatar instead of having five percent of a house. Well, I’m sure [a house] is nice, but I’m going to the World Cup.”

Argentina are pitted against Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland in Group C. The Albiceleste hope to add to their two World Cup victories in 1978 and 1986.
