The 36-year-old has bagged 14 goals and two assists in 21 games across competitions since moving to Old Trafford from Juventus last summer.

Ronaldo has been heavily criticized in recent weeks as many believe his signing hasn’t lived up to the expectations that made Manchester United bring him in last summer.

The ex-Real Madrid forward was singled out for criticism when the Red Devils lost at home to Wolves on Monday night leaving Manchester United in seventh on the table, four points off the top 4 position.

Meanwhile former Aston Villa captain, Gabriel Agbonlahor however, believes the five-time Ballon winner has been hindering the development of young players at Manchester United according to SportsKeeda, and should be sold in the summer.

“If you look at the whole situation, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will know he made a mistake by bringing Ronaldo in, simple as that. Yes, Ronaldo has scored, but he’s scored goals what Greenwood would have scored, Rashford would have scored in that position. For me, I would let Ronaldo go in the summer. Let Greenwood, Sancho and Rashford play together," said Agbonlahor.

Real Madrid is understood to be interested in signing the Portuguese forward for a second spell but nothing has been confirmed by senior figures at the Spanish club so far.
