Former Manchester United Striker Donates Brighton Jerseys to Ghanaian Juvenile Club

Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker, Danny Welbeck has donated sets of jerseys to a juvenile club in Ghana.

The England striker presented Brighton & Hove Albion shirts to the youth football team in Nkawie Panin, a township in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The presentation was done by the Welbeck family in Ghana ahead of the start of the juvenile league.

"The local club in Nkawie Panin look ready this season in Ghana. Big shout out to Brighton and Buzz the kit man for helping my family kit out the squad," he wrote on Twitter.

The players and managers of the football club expressed gratitude to the player as they gear up for the campaign.

Welbeck was born to Ghanaian parents in England and usually spends holidays in the west African nation.

The 32-year-old has been a key player for Roberto De Zerbi's side as they push for an European place in the ongoing campaign. He has netted two goals in 19 Premier League games as Brighton sit seventh on the table.

Welbeck started his career at Manchester United before moving to Arsenal. He spent time at Watford before joining Brighton on a permanent deal in 2020.

The lanky forward has won the English Premier League twice and was part of the United team that won the 2009 UEFA Champions League.

Welbeck speaks on England decision

Born to Ghanaian parents in England, he earned his first cap for the Three Lions in a friendly against the Africans on March 29, 2011.

A late Asamoah Gyan curler cancelled out Andy Carrol's strike for England as the two nations shared the spoils on that date.

Welbeck stuns in new physique

Brighton forward, Welbeck recently stunned fans after sharing an image of his incredible body transformation ahead of the new league season.

From the images and videos shared online, he looks like a much-improved version of himself as he has put on a considerable amount of muscle.

Sports Brief also reported on the former Man United man taking to Instagram to share a video of his intense workout routines during the summer.
