Terem Moffi is enjoying a great season with Nice in the French Ligue 1.

He has scored 10 league goals this season, the most by an African in the French top flight.

The Super Eagles centre-forward recently named a Chelsea icon and a Manchester United legend his idols.

The 24-year-old also bagged his 50th Ligue 1 goal, becoming just the third Nigerian to score half a century goals in Ligue 1. Only John Utaka (59) and Victor Ikpeba (55) have scored more.

Moffi named Didier Driogba and Robin Van Persie as his idols.

“Growing up, I had great admiration for Didier Drogba and Robin Van Persie, and I wanted to be like them; they inspired me a lot,” via Afrik-Foot.

Drogba is arguably the greatest African footballer of all time. He won multiple Premier League titles and the 2012 Champions League. Van Persie, on the other hand, led Man United to their last league title in 2013.

He had a few words for Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kylian Mbappe.

“As for Messi, Ronaldo and Mbappe, these are great players and I have a lot of respect for them. I have played against Messi and Mbappe a number of times while for Ronaldo our paths have never crossed. They all remain players that rank among the very best.”

Moffi was part of the Super Eagles squad that reached the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, earlier this year.

Moffi reaches Ligue 1 milestone

Sports Brief earlier reported on Moffi reaching an incredible Ligue 1 milestone after scoring for Nice in their defeat against Nantes.

He scored 34 Ligue 1 goals for Lorient before joining Nice in January 2023. He has scored 16 league goals for Nice so far.

Moffi clashes Mbappe

Sports Brief earlier reported on Moffi angering PSG's Kylian Mbappe with his celebration when the two teams met.

The World Cup winner had a problem with the Nigerian's animated celebration during Nice's 3-2 away win over PSG. The Nigerian striker bagged a brace in the game.

After Mbappe took offence to Moffi, the two players exchanged words before the referee separated them.
