Legendary Clarence Seedorf Names Two Nigerian Legends Who Visits Him Just to Eat African Dishes

Former Netherlands midfielder Clarence Seedorf has revealed how his ex-teammates Kanu Nwankwo and Finidi George used to visit his house just to eat, Today Ng reports.

Seedorf made this known at the Heineken Champions League Trophy Tour in Lagos on Tuesday as he was presented to the media.

The four-time Champions League winner played alongside Kanu and Finidi at Ajax where they won the UEFA Champions League as teenagers during the 1994/1995 season.

The former Real Madrid and AC Milan star claimed that former Nigerian internationals, Kanu Nwankwo and Finidi George, used to visit him at home to eat African food.

He said:

“Kanu and Finidi were always coming to my house in Amsterdam to eat African dishes. Kanu would say ‘give me rice.’
“They would eat well because we take the same type of food, there is no difference.”

Seedorf holds the record as the only player to win the Champions League with three different clubs.

Davido captains Okocha, others during exhibition game

Meanwhile, hundreds of fans in Lagos were on Sunday, 12 April, entertained by Nigerian famous musician Davido who captained the likes of Okocha, Daniel Amokachi, Taribo West and others against Clarence Seedorf's led team.

The friendly encounter was in the Heineken’s UEFA Champions League trophy tour in which the organizers took the prestigious crown to Lagos.

Davido was not the only Afrobeat star who featured in this game as Darey, MI Abaga also played in the same team with the Super Eagles legends.

Okocha shines in an exhibition game

Sports Brief earlier reported that Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha won't stop stunning football lovers even at the age of 48 after his showboating display for World Stars in an exhibition game in Dubai.

The former Nigeria international featured for a World Stars team that had former AC Milan star Clarence Seedorf, Arsenal legend Robert Pires and former World best player Kaka.

However, it was his goal in the 13-3 victory over Abraham Accords stars that grabbed the attention of every fan watching the game.
