The league has more than 30 teams divided into conferences and further divided into divisions. So, what divisions are in the NBA eastern conference? So, why are there divisions in the NBA? Despite there being arguments against them, they do play a role. First, they reduce the workload on players as they only travel a little since sides in the same division are usually in the same region. They also help reduce travel costs and make games' scheduling more accessible.

How many divisions are in the Eastern Conference NBA?
