He was born on February 5, 1985, in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. His mother, Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, was a cook and his father, Jose Dinis Aveiro, was a municipal gardener and a part-time kit man. He has two older sisters, Elma and Liliana Catia, and one older brother, Hugo.

José Dinis Aveiro's dad passed away when he was only 20, so he never got to see him do anything with his life. The star is in a relation with Georgina Rodriguez. The couple met in 2016 and got engaged in 2019. They have four children: Cristiano Jr., twins Eva and Mateo, and Alana Martina. He also has an older son, Cristiano Jr., born in 2010.
