He did not do it alone though, as James Harden also significantly contributed to their victory. 'The Beard' was sensational against the Grizzlies, scoring 31 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and dishing out seven assists.

He shot 10 of 16 from the field, including 6 of 9 from beyond the arc.

Sixers mount second-half comeback

Things were looking bleak for the Sixers in their first game after the All-Star break as they trailed the Grizzlies by 12 points at half-time.

However, the Sixers slowly made their way back into the game, cutting the deficit in half after the third quarter. They then unleashed a fiery onslaught in the fourth quarter, with Philadelphia outscoring Memphis 35-24 to record the comeback win.

Embiid got the place rocking with a block on Ja Morant with 1:13 left in the final quarter. Memphis was only able to drain a free throw after that missed opportunity, with that defensive gem swinging the momentum in Philadelphia’s favor.

The Sixers went on to finish the game with a 7-0 run.

Fans react to Embiid's block

Fans reacted to that defensive play of Embiid, lauding the center for his block on one of the game’s high-flyers.

Embiid is a scoring machine

Sports Brief recently reported on Embiid becoming the fastest player in Sixers history to reach 10,000 career points.

He eclipsed that mark in the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, scoring 29 points in 39 minutes of action.

Embiid accomplished that feat in 373 games, passing Philadelphia legend Iverson for the fewest games to reach that mark.
