The Brazilian forward will be aiming to win the competition for the first time in his career and has admitted the Club World Cup is special to him, Football Espana reports.

Should Real Madrid defeat Al Ahly, the La Liga champions will take on Al-Hilal in Saturday’s final after the Asian champions defeated Flamingoes in the other semi-final played on Tuesday.

Real aiming to extend Club World Cup record

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will be aiming to add a fifth Club World Cup crown to their collection, albeit they could be without up to five first-team players due to injury.

The Spanish giants have won the competition more than any other team in the world following their previous triumphs in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018, Marca reports.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men have not been firing on all cylinders recently and must now find a way to navigate past Al Ahly without top stars like Benzema, Courtois, Alaba, and Militao.

Rodrygo scores a sensational goal

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Real Madrid star Rodrygo netted a sensational solo goal in his side's Copa del Rey quarter-final against Atletico Madrid.

The 22-year-old picked the ball from the centre and dribbled past multiple defenders before driving into the box, beating Jan Oblak with a cool strike at his near post.

The Brazilian star's mazy dribble left Axel Witsel on the floor, before Mario Hermoso also made a failed attempt to tackle the Brazilian.
