Victor Osimhen, steer clear - this seems to be the consensus among fans who want the Napoli star to avoid following through on transfer links to Chelsea.

The Blues suffered one of their worst defeats in recent seasons in the Premier League at the hands of table-topping Arsenal on Tuesday night, April 23.

Mauricio Pochettino's side were rebuilding after a difficult season but were brought down to earth by Mikel Arteta's team, who put five goals past them.

A first-half strike from Leandro Trossard, along with braces from Kai Havertz and Ben White, sealed the fate of the West London side on the night.

The defeat marked Chelsea's worst-ever loss in a London derby in Premier League history, according to data from The Athletic - and it could get worse.

Fans of Osimhen are now advising the Nigerian international, who has been linked with a transfer from Napoli to the Blues in the summer, to reconsider.

While some point to Chelsea's current downward spiral as a reason to avoid the move, others suggest the club is currently in a state of uncertainty, and having a forward of Osimhen's calibre in the squad would do little to improve the situation.

Some have even gone as far as to warn the Super Eagles ace that joining the Stamford Bridge outfit could lead to his talents being squandered.

Nigerians urge Osimhen to avoid Chelsea

@AJobiajulu commented:

"Not with Pochettino as manager... they'll end his career at Chelsea. He should go and flourish at PSG. Unless they sack Pochettino for a better coach."

@mbjsuki, seemingly confident in his assertion, wrote:

"If he goes there, that's the end for him. Take note."

@EkpereJnr urged the forward:

"He shouldn't even consider this move, please 🥺"

@Silverk09136600 also posted:

"Even Chelsea fans don't want Osimhen to come and waste his time at their club."

Sports Brief also previously reported that Osimhen could join the Premier League next season, according to a transfer expert.

Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United have all been linked with the Nigerian star, as have Ligue 1 side, Paris Saint-Germain.
