Wilfred Ndidi wants to play for a Premier League “Big Six” club next season as speculations continue to surround his immediate future with Leicester City.

The 27-year-old, who joined the Foxes in 2017, is ready to leave the Championship club after seven seasons with just one year left on his current deal with the club.

According to Score Nigeria, Ndidi will only move to one of the clubs in the Premier League Top 6 or instead move away from England as he is eager to play European football.

The Super Eagles midfielder, who got relegated from England’s topflight league last season, is attempting to guide Leicester City back to the Premier League before leaving the club in the summer.

Ndidi has been linked with several Premier League mid-table teams like Crystal Palace, West Ham, and Newcastle United but it remains unclear what his next move will be when the summer transfer window opens.

Top clubs interested in Ndidi

Meanwhile, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona are the top three teams presently rumoured to be interested in signing Ndidi when the transfer window opens this summer, Daily Post reports.

Barcelona will push to sign the 27-year-old as a free agent this summer while Juventus have identified the Super Eagles midfielder as a key target to bolster their midfield next season.

Tottenham, Wolves, and Aston Villa are also rumoured to be keen on a deal to sign Ndidi in England whereas Galatasaray in Turkey is also keeping tabs on the Leicester City player.

Leicester eye Wilfred Ndidi’s replacement

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Leicester City is considering a move for Sean Longstaff as a potential replacement for Super Eagles midfielder, Ndidi.

Longstaff's contract with Newcastle expires in the summer of 2025, which could make him available for a reasonable price in the upcoming transfer window if the Toons decide not to retain him.

The 26-year-old has been a vital player for Eddie Howe's side this season, starting 24 Premier League games and contributing six goals.
