This season's derby between the crosstown rivals staged on Sunday at the Wanda Metropolitano, reached a different level of acrimony.
Largely due to the racial slur comment by Pedro Bravo, President of the Association of Spanish Agents, tagging Vinicius as a monkey - during his submission on television.
His submission intensified the rivalry which saw some section of Atletico fans filmed chanting racist songs at Vinicius outside the stadium moments before the Madrid derby on Sunday.
