Arsenal appointed Mikel Arteta as their new manager on December 20, 2019, per Bleacher Report. He replaced Freddie Ljungberg, who became the club's interim boss following Umai Emery's sacking on November 29, 2019.

He has faced Spurs eight times in his managerial career, with all of those meetings happening in the Premier League.

2019-20 season

Arteta first locked horns with Tottenham as Arsenal manager on July 12, 2020.

Spurs came from behind to record the 2-1 win, with Son Heung-min and Toby Alderweireld scoring goals in that clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, per the BBC.

2020-21 season

Spurs hosted their next league meeting on December 6, 2020, with Arsenal losing that contest once again. Son and Harry Kane scored for Tottenham in their 2-0 victory.

Arteta finally nabbed his first win against Spurs on March 14, 2021. Arsenal hosted that Premier League clash, with the Gunners recording a 2-1 victory.

They came from behind in that contest, with Martin Odegaard and Alexandre Lacazette providing the goals.

2021-22 season

Arteta evened his record against Spurs to 2-2 after Arsenal recorded a 3-1 win on September 26, 2021.

The Gunners raced to a 3-0 lead in the first half, with Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, and Bukayo Saka finding the back of the net.

Tottenham snapped their two-game losing streak against Arsenal on May 12, 2022, when they faced off in another Premier League encounter.

Kane scored a brace in the first half before Son completed the 3-0 rout with a goal in the 47th minute.

2022-23 season

Arsenal bounced back after that loss, beating Spurs 3-1 on October 1, 2022. Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus, and Granit Xhaka scored the goals for the Gunners in that matchup.

Arteta finally recorded his first road win against Spurs on January 15, 2023. An own goal from Hugo Lloris in the 14th minute gave Arsenal an early 1-0 lead.

Odegaard made it 2-0 in the 35th minute to secure the victory for the visitors.

2023-24 season

The last meeting between Tottenham and Arsenal took place on September 24, 2023.

They cancelled each other out in an entertaining 2-2 draw, with Son scoring a brace for Spurs in that Premier League showdown.

Partey stars in win over Chelsea

Sports Brief recently reported on Partey's outstanding play against Chelsea.

He left Blues midfielder Moises Caicedo on the floor as the ball rolled to Odegaard.

Arsenal fans took to social media to celebrate Partey returning to his best form.
