Last year was disappointing.
As an individual I didn't play well, and as team we certainly didn't play well. You're going to have to fight, you're going to have setbacks and last year was certainly a setback for myself on my career path.
Everyone knows last year was nowhere near good enough, but it's a fresh start and we've got a big season ahead.

Maguire's position will be under intense scrutiny especially with the club on the verge of acquiring Lisandro Martinez from Ajax. Competitions in the squad will be rife with Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane all available in the centre-back position.

Gary Neville asks Manchester United fans to support Erik ten Hag's decisions

Sports Brief had earlier reported that popular pundit and Manchester United legend Gary Neville has asked the club's fans to support Erik ten Hag's decision to maintain Harry Maguire as the captain.

The new manager confirmed on Monday morning that he had no intention of changing Maguire, who has been under fire from fans.

The news did not go down well with a majority of United supporters. Gary Neville was on the receiving end of the fans' backlash on Twitter after he supported Ten Hag's decision.
