Jadon Sancho scores first goal of Erik ten Hag's Man United era

United needed just 12 minutes to break the deadlock, with Jadon Sancho scoring the first goal of Ten Hag's Old Trafford era.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund wingman whipped a stunning effort into the far corner, with his assured finish beating Alisson Becker, who was in goal for Liverpool.

Fred doubled United's advantage at the half-hour mark with a moment of magic, firing home the second from 25 yards out.

Anthony Martial made it 3-0 two minutes later to ensure that the Red Devils head into the break with the advantage.

While Liverpool were dominant in the second half, they were unable to earn at least a consolation as they allowed Facundo Pellistri to come off the bench to put the game beyond their reach in the 76th minute.
