Man City chief hints Pep Guardiola could manage a club in Italy

Having already managed three clubs in his managerial career in three different top-flight divisions, it remains unclear where Guardiola could try his hand in.

But City's CEO Ferran Soriano has suggested that there is a chance the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss will manage an Italian side once he departs the Etihad.

Speaking at a press conference during the unveiling of City Group's majority stakeholder purchase in Serie B side Palermo on Monday, July 4, Soriano claimed that Guardiola has already inquired what the weather is like in Palermo.

“He asked if it’s sunny in Palermo. Perhaps, he will work here one day," Soriano was quoted by Calciomercato per Goal.
“He knows everything we do and he knows Italian football well. Like the others, he is excited about the deal," he added.

Pep Guardiola speaks on Man City departures

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Pep Guardiola has opened up on the departures of key Manchester City players for rival clubs.

Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Nathan Ake are all expected to depart the Etihad Stadium this summer.

While many view the exits as a blow to Man City, Guardiola has vowed not to stand in the way of any player who intends to depart.
