  • Jack Grealish will accept Graeme Souness's request for a night out only if he can bring Paul Pogba along
  • The two have been embroiled in a heated back and forth after the Sky Sports pundit told Grealish he's not a great player
  • Souness has gained notoriety on social media following his incessant criticism of Paul Pogba for the last few seasons

The back and forth between Jack Grealish and Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness took a hilarious turn after the Manchester City forward agreed to go for a night out with Souness.

The pair have been engaged in a heated exchange this week after the popular pundit boldly claimed that Grealish is not a great player. Grealish said that he will only accept the invitation if Paul Pogba comes along.

Grealish to bring Pogba for a night out with Souness

Grealish took to Twitter to respond to Souness, who asked Grealish to stop being "so precious" after the footballer curiously questioned his persistent criticism.

Grealish swiftly and jokingly responded that he will accept the invitation if he brought former Manchester United star Paul Pogba, a player who was Souness's target for the last few years.

The pundit reiterated that he has no agenda against Grealish and he should be ready to accept negative comments about his performances.

I don’t have a vendetta against anyone at all, this is just my opinion at this time about Grealish.
Listen, I’m paid to offer an opinion and I’ve been in the game 50 years, so I think I’m entitled to have an opinion. Don’t be so precious.

Souness claimed earlier this week that Grealish is yet to prove that he's worth the 100 million City forked out to get him from Aston Villa last season. Grealish has only scored four league goals for City since the big move.

The 69-year-old also clarified that his relentless criticism of Pogba was proven correct when the midfielder left United at the end of last season.

Souness criticises Grealish

Sports Brief earlier reported on Souness's outspoken criticism of Grealish after the forward scored his first goal of the season in City's 3-0 win over Wolves this past Saturday.

Souness wildly claimed that the 27-year-old is a good footballer but not great. He added that the winger takes too many touches and doesn't see the picture quick enough.
