Simba have since shown interest in two coaches who are well known in South African circles.

As reported by Soccer Laduma, the Tanzanian giants are interested in Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach, Rhulani Mokwena.

The club tried to sign Mokwena in November last year but could not afford his wages. The publication reported that Simba pays its wages under R25 000 a month while Mokwena earns much more at Sundowns.

Simba are still keen to sign the South African tactician but have also approached another former DStv Premiership coach. iDiski Times reports that Simba CEO, Barbara Gonzales, has approached Stuart Baxter with regards to taking over the job.

Baxter has been without a job since he was sacked by Kaizer Chiefs. The publication reports that talks are already in an advanced stage with Simba and the only issue currently is Baxter’s wages.

Photos have also circulated on social media, claiming to show Baxter meeting with the Simba CEO regarding the job.

Stuart Baxter rumoured to make DStv Premiership return as SuperSport United show interest in former manager

Stuart Baxter could find himself at a familiar stomping ground at the start of the new DStv Premiership season. The former Kaizer Chiefs coach is rumoured to be on the radar of SuperSport United.

The Citizen reported that a source had confirmed that Matsatsantsa A Pitori had already drafted a contract for Baxter’s second stint at the club. Baxter previously coached SuperSport United between 2016 and 2017 and oversaw 60 games in charge of the side.

SuperSport United have been without a full-time coach since they let Kaitano Tembo go. Andre Arendse has served as interim coach until a successor is found.

Stuart Baxter was shockingly axed by Kaizer Chiefs, a string of poor results at the Amakhosi is to blame for the dismissal

After a string of poor results and another disappointing season for the Sowetan team, Sports Brief reported that Kaizer Chiefs have decided to part ways with the Scotsman. It was confirmed that Arthur Zwane and Dillion Sheppard would be in charge of the club until the end of the season.

Baxter came under fire from fans after the defeat to SuperSport United, with many in the stadium asking him to leave.
