The Premier League celebrated Ghana's Anthony Yeboah for scoring one of the most aesthetically pleasing volleys in the English top division 27 years ago.

Yeboah executed a dipping volley from 25 yards that smashed in off the underside of the crossbar against Liverpool to earn Leeds United a 1-0 win.

In a video posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the official account of the Premier League celebrated the former Leeds United forward for his outrageous strike against Liverpool.

The former Black Stars forward Anthony Yeboah spent two seasons at Elland Road, where he became a cult hero in the brief spell he had in England.

Despite his short stint in the Premier League, Yeboah carved a niche for himself as a goal-scoring menace with a penchant for goals out of the top drawer.

He was recently sighted in Seville as he watched his former club Eintracht Frankfurt edge Rangers on penalties to clinch the UEFA Europa League.

The official Twitter account of the Premier League described Yeboah's strike as one of the greatest volleys in the history of the English elite division.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Legendary Ghanaian forward Anthony Yeboah was not left out of Frankfurt's Europa League success as he travelled to Spain to watch the final against Rangers.

Yeboah witnessed his former club Eintracht Frankfurt defeat Glasgow Rangers on penalties to win the tournament for the first time.

In a photo posted on social media, the former Ghana international was beaming with smiles as the Bundesliga outfit made history on Wednesday night.
