Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has warned current Blues boss Graham Potter that no one will give him time, if he cannot stop the poor run of form that has seen them win just two of their last seven matches.

Potter has been in the Chelsea post for less than three months and is already under pressure, following a poor run of results.

A mediocre start to the season saw Tuchel fired after just one month in the season under new owner Todd Boehly. Tuchel's Chelsea lost their first Champions League tie, and the new owners proved to be as ruthless as Roman Abramovic, according to AP.

The Englishman has come under heavy criticism following underwhelming performances in the league, a run that was capped by defeat at Manmchester City in the Carabao Cup.

Thomas Tuchel warns Graham Potter

Sections of fans and pundits have criticised Potter for lacking charisma and personality when talking to the media. Some have called the former Brighton manager boring, urging him to develop an element of ruthlessness to his management.

Tuchel said that the 'process' means nothing if he isn't getting results.

"My experience in Chelsea, Paris, Dortmund and Mainz - it is about the results. You can overcome one loss, a short period… but it cannot be too long otherwise nobody trusts the process no more," he told the Ayurvedic Healing & Beyond Podcast via the Daily Mail.

The former PSG and Borussia Dortmund manager is currently out of work since being sacked in early September. Fortunately for Potter, the World Cup break will give him much-needed time to settle.

Potter advised to be ruthless

Sports Brief earlier reported on ex-Chelsea star Andy Townsend asking Potter to be more ruthless when talking to the press.

Townsend said Potter needs to have some personality, adding that he is still stuck in 'Brighton mode'.

The Blues are now winless in their last four league matches, causing some jitters among fans.
