Shakhtar's tease on Arsenal

On Saturday, January 13th, Shakhtar decided to toy with Arsenal fans by baiting them with a piece of supposed big news. Arsenal fans trooped to the comment section hoping to read that an agreement had been reached between the two clubs for the transfer of Mudryk.

"We prepared some news for you today," started off the admin.
" Seems like it’s time to reveal the first piece..."

Turns out, the admin was preparing to reveal which games Shakhtar will have during their training camp in Turkey.

But the admin wasn't done. He/she revealed that there was more news coming up, but first, the page had to reach 51,000 followers.

"There are more interesting stuff coming up
We are ready to share another piece of news as soon as our page reaches 51 thousand subscribers."

Arsenal fans perhaps thought this was it. The admin even went a step further and tweeted a standalone tweet of "Mudryk?" But it wasn't.

Shakhtar's tour of Turkey

Turns out the admin was setting up to reveal that Mudryk had been awarded the club's player of the month.

"The head coach congratulated the midfielder on winning the Player of the Year award according to fans and presented him with a corresponding trophy "

The Gunners fans were not happy with the admin's click-baiting tactics. They will also be far from happy if Mudryk completes the move to Chelsea.

Gabriel Jesus' rehabilitation

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Gabriel Jesus has shared a positive update on his injury after he underwent knee surgery.

The Brazilian star has been on the sidelines for weeks now after he picked up a knee injury while playing in the World Cup.

Jesus' injury came at a time he had hit the ground running at the Emirates Stadium following his sensational summer transfer from Man City.

The 25-year-old had distinguished himself as a key squad member in Arsenal's Premier League title charge, having scored five Premier League goals before his injury setback.
