Ghanaian defender, Nathaniel Adjei, had predicted his fate before the game between French giants Paris Saint-Germain and Lorient in Ligue 1 on Wednesday afternoon.

The former Ghana U20 star has been trending since the end of the game after French superstar Kylian Mbappe produced an insane skill to nutmeg the Lorient centre-back.

Mbappe and France teammate Ousmane Dembele each scored twice as the Ligue 1 champions tore apart their hosts 4-1 at Stade du Moustoir.

Before the match, the Ghana youth international had opened up on the opportunity of facing the World Cup winner, insisting it would be a great challenge for him.

“All the strikers I have faced are good but I have been able to manage them. I am looking forward to facing someone tough. Facing Kylian Mbappe will be a big challenge for me," he told Flashscore.

"As a young player, you need to challenge yourself and not be in your comfort zone. Mbappe is a very good player and playing against such players gives you more experience and tests you. I look forward to seeing how far I have come as a centre-back," he added.

It was a difficult game for Adjei and his Lorient teammates as they struggled to stop the devastating PSG duo.

Meanwhile, Adjei has enjoyed a decent run of games since moving to France to join Lorient on loan from Swedish giants Hammarby IF.

Adjei has made 12 appearances for Lorient in Ligue 1 this season.
