“He's not the right player to play holding midfielder for Man United. We're talking about a player with many rungs up, many rungs.
"It's like saying before we had Fred and McTominay in the CDM position, would you not have taken Partey? Well, yes, I would have, but what does that prove? All I'm saying is we're talking about Casemiro against Partey, and it's not a competition."

Partey has been incredible for Arsenal this season as the Gunners sit top of the English Premier League. The 29-year-old joined Arsenal in the summer of 2020 from ATletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, Casimero is gradually warming his way into the Manchester United team. He scored the equalizer as the Red Devils picked a valuable point at Stamford Bridge.

The five-time UEFA Champions League joined the record English champions from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Thomas Partey scores stupendous goal in North London derby

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Thomas Partey scored a stunning goal from outside the box to open the scoring in the North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham at the Emirates on Saturday.

The 29-year-old Ghanaian who missed the international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua due to discomfort in his knee, started for the Gunners against their London rivals.

In a video posted on social media, Thomas Partey fired home from long distance after receiving a pass from Ben White, leaving Hugo Lloris helpless.
