Stuart MacFarlane, Arsenal's chief photographer, delivered a powerful pre-match team talk ahead of his side's north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur last season.

Team talks are usually reserved for coaches and to some extent captains or the leadership figures in the team, however, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta gave the club's photographer a rare opportunity to inspire the players before a Premier League.

In a video posted on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, MacFarlane, who has been working with Arsenal as the club's photographer since 2001 gave a rousing, emotional speech just before the north London derby.

The footage was sourced from Amazon's All or Nothing documentary on Arsenal, which has since gone viral with many football followers patting Arteta on the back, for giving the rare chance to MacFarlane.

MacFarlane's speech was well received by the playing body of Arsenal as forward Bukayo Saka went over to MacFarlane to share a wonderful embrace with him.

Arteta's unorthodox methods proved successful as Saka, Smith-Rowe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang shot Arsenal to a three-nil lead after just 34 minutes.

Spurs will manage to reduce the deficit but Arsenal will hold on to a sweet 3-1 win over their archrivals in the first north London derby back in September 2021.
