The match has been touted as a possible title decider, with a win for City expected to give them a big boost in their bid to defend the domestic crown.

Pep Guardiola's men are currently placed second in the standings with 85 points, a point behind Arsenal, who went top after silencing Manchester United 1-0 on Sunday at Old Trafford.

A win for City away at Tottenham will therefore see them leapfrog the Gunners to the top of the table ahead of the final round of fixtures on Sunday, May 19.

Arsenal supporters set off fireworks at team hotel

Arsenal fans have now taken a somewhat bizarre step in a clear move aimed at ensuring City loses the fixture.

A video shared by @centregoals on X showed a section of the supporters setting off fireworks at a hotel thought to have hosted City stars.

However, it has since emerged that Guardiaola's men did not actually lodge at the facility as initially expected.

According to SPORTbible, the Etihad dwellers chose to travel to the capital on the D-day of the match.

Meanwhile, they will be playing West Ham United at home in their final game of the season as Arsenal host Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester City duo return from injury

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on City getting a huge injury boost ahead of their Tottenham clash.

The duo of Nathan Ake and Jack Grealish is likely to take part in the match after shaking off injury concerns.

Grealish missed his side's weekend victory over Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium.
