A supercomputer has predicted this season's Premier League title winners as Arsenal and Manchester City go head-to-head for the crown.

The two sides have emerged as the clear frontrunners for the trophy after Liverpool stumbled against Everton and West Ham United.

Arsenal's 3-2 Sunday win over Tottenham Hotspur solidified their place at the top of the Premier League table, leaving City in hot pursuit.

The Mikel Arteta-led side leads the table with 80 points with three games left to end the season, while City sit second with 79 points with one game in hand.

Per Football London, Liverpool complete the top three podium, with the Jurgen Klopp-tutored side managing 75 points so far this season.

Supercomputer predicts title winners

Even as the Gunners seem determined to win each of their remaining matches, a supercomputer from BETSiE (via bettingexpert.com), believes that Manchester City are the favourites to retain the crown.

Simulating the league season 100,000 times, the predictor considers how the title contenders performed in the previous season, pre-season outcomes, and how the teams have performed in the current season.

Seemingly, Arsenal and the supercomputer are not reading from the same script, with the prediction that they will finish with 86.9 points. Pep Guardiola's side are predicted to finish with 87.7 points - a winning possibility of 46.6% and 53.2% respectively.

Klopp's men, meanwhile, have been given a mere 0.6% possibility of beating the Citizens and the North Londoners to the title.

The former Togo international gave his insights on which clubs he contends will triumph, with only a few matches left until the campaign is done.
