Manchester City have been handed a much-needed double injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Citizens are scheduled to play the North Londoners in a decisive encounter on Tuesday night, May 14.

The match is of significance to both teams, with City keen to secure a positive result to get an edge over Arsenal in the title race.

Only one point is currently separating the two title favourites, with Pep Guardiola's men having a game in hand ahead of the final round of fixtures.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are looking to get maximum points against the reigning English champions to keep their slim hopes of sealing a Champions League spot alive.

Spurs are currently placed fifth in the standings with 63 points, five points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa.

Man City get double injury boost

However, that may prove difficult for Ange Postecoglou's men, with City receiving a double injury return boost in the shape of Nathan Ake and Jack Grealish ahead of the cracker.

According to Metro UK, the duo is likely to feature in the Tuesday night meeting after taking part in a recent training session.

The positive news was also confirmed by Guardiola, who said in a press conference:

"Jack has recovered from illness and Nathan was much better yesterday," he told reporters.

Grealish missed City's clash against Aston Villa last weekend.

Supercomputer makes EPL prediction

In other news, Sports Brief reported on a supercomputer predicting the Premier League title winners after Arsenal secured a crucial win over Manchester United on May 12.

The Gunners are the leading contenders for this season's crown alongside reigning champions, Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta's men went back to the summit of the table after they silenced United 1-0 at Old Trafford, with Leandro Trossard scoring the winner.
