The 2024 European Championship begins on June 14 and concludes with the final on July 14, with 24 teams set to compete for Europe's most iconic international trophy.

Germany is set to host the competition for the first time since its unification, decades after West Germany hosted the continental tournament back in 1988.

Italy will be hoping to defend the trophy they won back in 2020 but the Azzurri will face stiff competition from France, England, and Spain, who are bidding to secure the title again.

According to Sky Sports, 10 impressive host venues have been selected for the stages of the competition, including the Olympiastadion in Berlin and the Allianz Arena in Munich.

The 10 Euro 2024 host stadiums

1. Olympiastadion, Berlin

Berlin's Olympiastadion is one of Germany's most renowned sporting grounds, and it will play an important part in the 2024 Euros.

It is located in the German capital of Berlin and has a long history dating back to its inception in 1936. With a capacity of 74,475, the stadium is the home of Hertha BSC, one of Germany’s top clubs.

The stadium has previously held several notable events, including the 2006 FIFA World Cup final. During Euro 2024, Olympiastadion Berlin will host three group stage matches, a Round of 16 game, a quarter-final, and most importantly, the final.

Olympiastadion Berlin is located in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district of Berlin. With its rich history, cultural diversity, and vibrant atmosphere, the city is an ideal host for the UEFA European Championship.

2. Allianz Arena, Munich

The Football Arena Munich, popularly known as the Allianz Arena, is located in Munich. It is the home stadium of Bayern Munich, the country's largest club, and has a seating capacity of over 75,000.

This contemporary stadium, which opened in 2005, is a cutting-edge facility complete with innovative technology and a striking lighting facade.

Despite its newness, this stadium has a long history of hosting major international football events, including the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

During Euro 2024, it will host four group stage games, a last-16 game, and a semi-final.

3. RB Arena, Leipzig

RB Arena is a spectacular facility with a devoted and vociferous fanbase following and will host three group matches as well as a Round of 16 game.

4. Hamburg Arena, Hamburg

Hamburg Arena, commonly known as Volksparkstadion, is a 57,000-capacity stadium and the home of Hamburger SV.

It has been operating since 1953 but underwent extensive renovations in 1998, and has since hosted fantastic football games.

The stadium will host four group matches as well as a quarter-final of the Euros.

In recent years, Hamburg has experienced a decline, currently competing in the German second division after a heartbreaking failure to secure promotion on the last day of the 2022/23 season.

Despite this setback, they remain one of the best-supported clubs in the country, a fact reflected in their impressive stadium.

5. Arena AufSchalke, Gelsenkirchen

FC Schalke 04 plays its home games at Arena A in Gelsenkirchen. Since its opening in 2001, it has been a landmark in German football, with a capacity of more than 50,000.

Despite Schalke's current struggles, their stadium boasts a rich history in major tournaments, including hosting the Champions League final in 2004.

Located in the Ruhr area, Gelsenkirchen is renowned for its industrial past and has evolved into a vibrant, modern city.

Stadion Cologne is home to FC Cologne. With a capacity of 50,000, this historic stadium in a historic city was built in 1923 and restored in 2004. It is undeniably a renowned football venue in Germany.
