In photos shared on social media, an excited Davido is seen enjoying the game as the newly crowned champions pipped the Blues in front of their fans.

A first half strike from Argentina's World Cup winner Julian Alvarez separated the two sides as Pep Guardiola fielded a weakened side against the Blues.

It is unclear which team Davido supports but the Nigerian is a huge fan of the English Premier League.

Last year, Davido performed at the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

He is noted for filling up stadiums across the globe and is revered for his pioneering role in the Afrobeats genre.

Manchester City have two more titles to compete for before the season ends, including the UEFA Champions League final, where another Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, will be performing.

Mahrez makes EPL history

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez has become the African player with the most English Premier League titles after Manchester City were declared champions on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

The Citizens were crowned champions without even kicking the ball after Arsenal lost to Nottingham Forest at the City Grounds.

City's four points advantage over Arsenal with just a game remaining for the Gunners means the London club are mathematically out of the race.

City fan mocks Arsenal

A Manchester City fan has gone viral for mocking Arsenal by lifting a bottle during Premier League title celebrations.

The Gunners were the favourites to win this season's crown but faltered in the closing stages of the Premier League title race.

Mikel Arteta's charges had topped the charts for weeks, putting them in a pole position to cart home the trophy for the first time since 2014.
