Amad Diallo scored his first Premier League goal for Manchester United in the 3-2 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford.

Diallo, previously uncertain to feature due to an injury sustained in the 1-0 loss to Arsenal, commenced the match for the Red Devils, marking the penultimate game of the season.

The ex-Atalanta winger reciprocated Erik ten Hag's faith in him by netting in their win over Eddie Howe's side.

The 21-year-old volleyed home after Alexander Isak failed to clear a corner kick from the right side, per the Guardian.

Why Amad Diallo replicated Arda Guler's celebration

After the goal, the Ivory Coast winger indulged in several celebrations, yet one particularly caught attention: his emulation of a move popularised by Real Madrid's rising star, Arda Guler.

This involved placing his right hand over his heart and gesturing towards the sky with his left, accompanied by a brief moment of closing his eyes.

Diallo opened up afterwards that he mimicked Guler's celebration at the behest of a dear friend who knew its significance and backstory.

Guler recently shared the rationale behind his distinctive celebration, stating:

"My goal celebration is rooted in tawakkul. I believe everything comes from Allah," the Real Madrid youngster said via Tribuna.

Given Diallo's devout Muslim faith, he couldn't refuse his friend's request. Now, having broken his Premier League goal drought for Manchester United against Newcastle, he'll aim to recreate this celebration many more times.

Just 24 hours ago, Güler did the same, coming off the bench to score in Real Madrid’s 5-0 thrashing of Alavés in the Spanish Primera Division.

Diallo opens up on FA Cup winner vs Liverpool

Sports Brief also reported that Amad Diallo expressed excitement following his last-minute heroics for Manchester United against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

The Ivorian winger scored the winner as the Red Devils edged their rivals 4-3 at Old Trafford in an epic quarter-final showdown.

Having struggled with injuries and for game time, Diallo proved decisive after coming on for Manchester United in the second half.
