  • Arsenal have been beaten at home 3-0 by Brighton in a dominant manner
  • The Albion bounced back from a disappointing 5-1 home loss to Everton in the midweek
  • Manchester City could clinch the title if they win their next game against Chelsea

It looks all but over for Arsenal in the Premier title race after their 3-0 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium moments ago.

Both teams came into the encounter highly motivated to grab a win. The Gunners won their last game 2-0 against Newcastle United, while the Seagulls lost 5-1 to Everton.

Mikel Arteta’s men were already losing ground on the title, and today’s result means it is no longer in their hands, as Manchester City needs just three points from their remaining two games.

On the other hand, Roberto De Zerbi’s men boosted their chance of European qualification with the impressive win in the home of one of the best teams in the league this season.

Arsenal fans leave the Emirates

As captured by Telemundo Sports cameras, hundreds of Gunners were seen on the streets, out of the stadium, before the referee drew the game to a close.

The score was 2-0 as of this moment before Ecuadorian full-back Pervis Estupinan added a third to inflict further insult to the scoreline.

De Zerbi does the knee-slides

Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi enjoyed his team’s performance and third goal so much that he celebrated with a knee slide at the Emirates, as captured by Sky Sports.

The Italian, speaking after their game against Everton, said his team will be back to playing their style and show their quality against Arsenal, as reported by The Argus.
