Kafue mayor, Buumba Malambom, has since confirmed the development, revealing that Daka had reached out to his office to discuss the plan.

In a post shared on Malambom's social media platform, the mayor vowed to ensure that Daka's dream becomes a reality.

"I received a call from our Kafue-born football superstar Patson [Daka] requesting my office to facilitate for a piece of land in Kafue estates or nearest the area he was born from where he will build his dream hospital as a way to give back to Kafue the land that birthed him,” she posted.

“Like me, Patson [Daka] is passionate about health, especially Maternal Health. This is great news, especially for our people in Kafue C7, who have no clinic. My office through Kafue Town Council will make sure that this project is a success," she added.

Enock Mwepu bags goal of the season at Brighton

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Zambia midfielder Enock Mwepu has been awarded the goal of the season at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Mwepu scored a beauty in their English Premier League game against Liverpool on October 30th last year.

At the time, Brighton staged a dramatic comeback to hold the Reds to an entertaining 2-2 draw at Anfield stadium.

Mwepu received a pass from Solomon March just outside Liverpool's box before he lifted the ball over towards Liverpool's goal to beat a scrambling Alison Becker.
