New Season of the English Premier League To Begin on August 6th 2022

Football fans are set to go for at least 12 weekends without the enthralling action of the Premier League. The new season of the top-flight division in England will start on August 6th.

Curtains closed on the 2021/2022 season with Manchester City beating Liverpool to the title. The two sides will be joined by Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League next season.

Manchester United and Arsenal will participate in the UEFA Europa League while West Ham will take part in the UEFA Conference League.

Norwich City, Watford and Burnley were relegated to the lower division. Their places will be taken by Fulham, Bournemouth and either Huddersfield Town or Nottingham Forest. The two square off in the Championship final this weekend.

And even before the heels cool off on the hotly-contested season, a clear roadmap of the upcoming season has already been released.

It will be a queer season with a huge break in between because of the FIFA World Cup. The event will take place in Qatar will take place from November 21st to December 18th.

The Premier League will now start on August 6th before taking a break on November 13th to allow players to join their national sides. It will then resume on Boxing Day, a week after the World Cup final.

The lucrative league will then run to May 28th of next year. The official fixtures will be released on Wednesday, June 15th according to the Sun.

Manchester City celebrate wildly after winning the Premier League

Sports Brief had earlier reported how Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola and his players partied late into the night after winning the English Premier League.

Pictures of the English champions celebrating their latest triumph have been circulated online.

Guardiola and his side had to dig deep to win their fourth title in five years. Aston Villa had raced to a 2-0 shock lead at the Etihad to tilt the advantage back to City’s rivals Liverpool
