The club won the Nedbank Cup back in 2021 and have been in the top league for the last two years. During the time, the club was still known as Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila Football Club (TTM F.C.)

Abram Sello is the club's chairperson. According to Sowetan live, Sello acquired the club in disarray from former owner Lawrence Mulaudzi in January. Mulaudzi had possessed the Premier Division franchise of 99-year-old Bidvest Wits at the end of the 2019-20 season‚ but soon ran into financial woes‚ with reports of players not being paid.

When was Marumo Gallants founded?

The PSL club located in Polokwane was founded in 2015 as Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC. They later changed to the current name in 2021.

Dan Malesela was revealed in November 2021 as the new head coach for the Polokwane based side. The skilled local tactician replaced Sebastien Migne, who was released after an incident with Harris Choeu, the club's technical director.

In May 2021, the Limpopo based side lifted its maiden major trophy since the club's formation in 2015. Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo's long range strike was the only goal that helped the club lift the Cup, and the club will leave to remember the player as the Marumo Gallants legend.
