The roots of the Samoan dynasty

The WWE Samoan wrestling family tree has three main families: the Anoa’i family, the Maivia family, and the Fatu family. The Anoa’i, Maivia, and Fatu families intertwine through blood, marriage, adoption, and shared wrestling fame.

The Anoa’i family stands central to this wrestling dynasty. Famous members include Roman Reigns, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), and the legendary Yokozuna.

Meanwhile, the Maivia family gained prominence through “High Chief” Peter Maivia. His grandson, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, became one of WWE’s most iconic superstars, continuing the Maivia legacy.

The WWE Samoan family tree

The Samoan Wrestling dynasty has earned a lot of respect from fans. However, explaining their family tree can be tricky. Amituanaʻi Anoaʻi and Peter Maivia were blood brothers, which is where it all began.

Peter Maivia family tree

Peter Maivia, the patriarch, laid the foundation. He wed Ofelia “Lia” Fuataga and adopted her daughter, Ata. Ata later married Rocky Johnson, continuing the legacy.

Who was Rocky Johnson?

He was a professional wrestler from Canada. Throughout his career, he won a number of titles within the National Wrestling Alliance, notably becoming the inaugural Black Georgia Heavyweight Champion and securing the NWA Television Champion title twice.

In 1983, Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas won the World Tag Team Championship, and were the first black champions in WWE history. Rocky’s brother Ricky Johnson was also a pro wrestler.

Who are Rocky Johnson’s offsprings

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, born to wrestling icons Ata and Rocky Johnson, inherited their magnetic presence and grappling skills. He is a proud dad to three daughters: Simone, Jasmine, and Tiana.

Afa and Sika Anoa’i, real names Arthur and Leati Anoa’i, respectively, were prominent figures in professional wrestling during the 1970s and 1980s. They won numerous championships and captivated audiences worldwide with their fierce, untamed personas.
