Djokovic's 12 Grand Slam titles with Ivanisevic

1. 2018 Wimbledon

Djokovic decided to shake things up after failing to win a Grand Slam title in the 2017 season. He decided to hire Ivanisevic to be a part of his coaching team, and the rest, as they say, is history.

That decision immediately paid dividends, with Djokovic winning the Wimbledon title in 2018. He edged past Rafael Nadal in a five-set thriller in the semis before beating Kevin Anderson 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 in the final.

2. 2018 US Open

Djokovic made it back-to-back Grand Slam wins at the US Open, capturing the title at Flushing Meadows in 2018.

He defeated Juan Martin del Potro 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 in the final to claim his third US Open crown.

3. 2019 Australian Open

Djokovic made it three consecutive Grand Slam wins at the Australian Open, capturing the title in Melbourne in 2019.

He defeated arch-rival Rafael Nadal 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 in the final to lift his seventh Australian Open trophy.

4. 2019 Wimbledon

Djokovic successfully defended his Wimbledon title in 2019, beating Roger Federer in a classic final.

The Serbian star needed four hours and 57 minutes to record the epic 7–6, 1–6, 7–6, 4–6, 13–12 victory over the Swiss maestro. It was the longest singles final in the history of the Wimbledon Championships, per the BBC.

5. 2020 Australian Open

Djokovic continued his dominance Down Under, capturing his eighth Australian Open title in 2020.

He defeated Dominic Thiem in the final, needing three hours and 59 minutes to record the 6-4, 4-6, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory.

6. 2021 Australian Open

Djokovic won his third consecutive Australian Open title and ninth overall in 2021, beating Daniil Medvedev in the final.

Not even an abdominal injury can stop Djokovic from capturing his 17th Grand Slam title, with the Serb pulling off a 7-5, 6-2, 6-2 win.

7. 2021 French Open

When all is said and done, Djokovic will rank the 2021 French Open as one of his greatest Grand Slam triumphs.

He defeated the King of Clay, Rafael Nadal, in the semi-finals, needing four hours and 11 minutes to record the 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-2 victory. It was a historic win for Djokovic, who became the first player to beat Nadal twice at Roland Garros.

He then battled back from two sets down in the final, beating Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 to capture his second French Open title.

8. 2021 Wimbledon

Djokovic also won the third leg of the Calendar Grand Slam, beating Matteo Berrettini in the 2021 Wimbledon final.

He rallied from a set down to record the 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 victory and win his sixth Grand Slam title on grass.

9. 2022 Wimbledon

Ivanisevic became Djokovic's main coach in March 2022, and that worked wonders for the Serbian's game.

Djokovic continued his dominance at the All-England Club, capturing his seventh Wimbledon title in 2022.

He defeated Nick Kyrgios in the final, needing three hours and one minute to record the 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (3) victory.

10. 2023 Australian Open

Djokovic resumed his dominance Down Under after he was denied entry in 2022, lifting his record 10th Australian Open title in 2023.

He did it in style as well, dropping just one set the entire tournament. He defeated Tsitsipas 6-3, 7-6, 7-6 in the final.

11. 2023 French Open

Djokovic made history in the 2023 French Open, becoming the first male tennis player to win 23 Grand Slam singles titles.

He accomplished that feat after beating Casper Ruud 7-6, 6-3, 7-5 in the final.

12. 2023 US Open

Djokovic matched Margaret Court's record of 24 Grand Slam singles titles in New York, beating Daniil Medvedev in the 2023 US Open final, per CBS News.

It was sweet revenge for the World No. 1, who lost to Medvedev in the final at Flushing Meadows back in 2021.

Djokovic's 2024 Australian Open exit

Sports Brief previously reported on Djokovic's exit at the 2024 Australian Open.

He lost to Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals in four tough sets.

Sinner went on to win the title, beating Medvedev in the final.
