Cincinnati Masters (2019)

Medvedev won his maiden Masters 1000 title in Cincinnati in 2019. He cruised through his first four matches, winning in straight sets against Kyle Edmund, Benoit Paire, Jan-Lennard Struff, and countryman Andrey Rublev.

He recorded a statement win in the semi-finals against top seed, Novak Djokovic. He battled back from a set down to beat the world No. 1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Medvedev made sure his win over Djokovic was not wasted, defeating David Goffin 7-6, 6-4 in the final to capture his first Masters 1000 title.

Shanghai Masters (2019)

Medvedev captured back-to-back Masters 1000 trophies after he won the title at the 2019 Rolex Shanghai Masters.

He did not drop a set in the tournament, beating Cam Norrie, Vasek Pospisil, Fabio Fognini, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Alexander Zverev.

Medvedev outclassed Zverev in the final, winning 6-4, 6-1, in just one hour and 13 minutes. The dominant win was a surprise as he had lost all his previous four matches against the German.

Paris Masters (2020)

Medvedev and Zverev renewed their rivalry in the final of the 2020 Paris Masters. Just like in Shanghai, the Russian emerged victorious in the French capital.

He rallied from a set down, beating the German 5-7, 6-4, 6-1, to lift his third Masters 1000 crown.

Toronto Masters (2021)

Medvedev entered the National Bank Open as the No. 1 seed and backed up that status with five straight victories in Toronto.

He finished that run with an impressive 6-4, 6-3 win over Reilly Opelka in the final, converting three of his seven break-point chances against the American to grab the victory.

The win gave Medvedev his fourth Masters 1000 title, per Bleacher Report.

Miami Masters (2023)

Medvedev became the eighth player to win five or more Masters titles after beating Jannik Sinner in the final of the 2023 Miami Open.

He took full advantage of facing a fatigued opponent, who had defeated world No. 1, Carlos Alcaraz in an epic semi-final encounter.

Medvedev preserved his unbeaten record against Sinner, beating the Italian 7-5, 6-3, per Eurosport.

Rome Masters (2023)

Many were surprised to see Medvedev win the Masters 1000 title in Rome. Before his shocking run in Italy, he was yet to win a clay court tournament.

However, he showed he could dominate on the red dirt as well, beating former champion Zverev in the fourth round, last year’s finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semi-finals, and Holger Rune in the final to capture his sixth Masters 1000 trophy.

Medvedev beats Rune in Rome

Sports Brief recently reported on Medvedev’s 2023 Italian Open win.

He defeated Rune 7-5, 7-5, in a match that lasted 1 hour, 41 minutes.

Medvedev has clinched an ATP Tour-leading five titles this season.
