Messi is revered around the world and is considered by many the greatest footballer of all-time after winning eight Ballon d'Or titles.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that American socialite Kim Kardashian disclosed her admiration for Argentina superstar Lionel Messi after he joined MLS side Inter Miami.

With pride and enthusiasm, the businesswoman joined a tall list of celebrities supporting Inter Miami following the arrival of the ex-Barcelona star.

As a property owner in Miami, the reality TV star enjoys the advantage of being able to see the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner up close practically whenever she desires.

Messi sets new record after New England game

Sports Brief also reported that Lionel Messi surpassed his rival Cristiano Ronaldo after another beautiful performance for Inter Miami in Major League Soccer.

Messi continued with his trend of scoring or assisting in every club game he has played this season. The Argentine chipped in with a brace of goals and assists as they thumped the New England Revolution 4-1 at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.

Tomas Chancalay opened the scoring for the hosts with less than a minute on the clock. Messi, however, responded in the 32nd minute after he was put through on goal by Robert Taylor.
