Holiday delivers in overtime

He made the biggest basket of the night, knocking down the go-ahead 3-pointer with 25.2 seconds left in overtime to give Milwaukee the lead for good.

Holiday was sizzling from beyond the arc, burying eight of his 12 attempts from the 3-point area, according to ESPN.

One of those came from behind midcourt, with Holiday’s heave beating the third-quarter buzzer.

The contest between the two Eastern leaders lived up to the hype despite Boston missing the services of All-Stars, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

The Celtics looked like they were going to record a significant upset, building a 14-point lead late in the third quarter.

Celtics and Bucks trade leads

The Bucks mounted a huge comeback to grab the advantage away from the Celtics in the fourth quarter.

Milwaukee led 116-113 with time winding down, but Boston was able to force overtime after Sam Hauser drained a long three with 3.0 seconds left in regulation.

The Celtics sustained the momentum during the extra period, establishing a five-point lead with two minutes left. The Bucks were able to respond, scoring the game’s final seven points to steal the win.

Three other players scored in double-figures for the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo nearly recorded a triple-double, finishing with 36 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. Khris Middleton and Grayson Allen added 16 and 13 points respectively.

When will Jae Crowder play?

Sports Brief recently reported on the status of Bucks’ new signing Jae Crowder, who is yet to play a single game this season after a rift with his former team.

Milwaukee head coach, Mike Budenholzer said that the 32-year-old forward would start playing for the Bucks after the All-Star break.

Crowder averaged 9.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game for the Suns last season, starting in 67 games for Phoenix last campaign.
