Nigerian footballer Victor Moses has expressed disappointment over the injury he picked while playing for Spartak Moscow with the former Chelsea star stressing that he will be back stronger.

Moses ruptured his Achilles and was stretched off in pain after 33 minutes during Spartak’s 2-0 victory over Ural and he is set for an operation.

The 31-year-old will be out of action for six months which is a bad development for Spartak Moscow and the club's fans.

Spartak Moscow have already played four games this season and Victor Moses has been impressive netting two goals.

According to the statement the Super Eagles legend made on his Twitter page, he thanked fans for the supports they have given him so far.

''Devastated to have suffered an injury in the game at the weekend.I will be doing all I can to recover and get back fully fit as quickly as possible to help the team. Thank you so much to everyone at the club and all of the fans for your fantastic support. I’ll be back stronger.''

Meanwhile, Victor Moses quit the Super Eagles after the 2018 World Cup in Russia where Nigeria failed qualify from the Group stages.
