Victor Osimhen could be tempted to move to the English Premier League next season after Newcastle United tabled an audacious offer for the Nigerian forward.

Eddie Howe’s team are already gearing up for the 2022/23 season and are willing to invest heavily into their squad to be able to push for a European spot.

According to a report via Complete Sports, the Magpies are said to be ready to offer the Super Eagles striker up to €9million in salary per year to tempt him away from Napoli.

Victor Osimhen has been subject to several interests from the English Premier League, with also Arsenal and Manchester United interested in the 23-year-old attacker.

Osimhen is valued at €100million by the Partenopei is rated as one of the best strikers in the Italian Serie A this season, as his goals have helped Napoli challenge for the Scudetto.

Osimhen prefers Arsenal move to Man United

Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen has explained to Mikel Arteta he would prefer a move to Arsenal rather than Manchester United if he decides to leave Napoli at the end of the season.

According to Football London, Osimhen wants to play in the UEFA Champions League next season and that automatically rules out Manchester United as a possible destination.

The Red Devils look set to miss out on the top four positions in England as they presently lie 5 points behind Arsenal, who are 4th with just 2 games left in the season.

Manchester United launch £84m bid for Osimhen

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly launched massive £84m bid to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and the Red Devils are said to be leading the race.

The Nigerian striker has been impressive this season in the Italian Serie A for Napoli and his performances have been noticed by many clubs in Europe.

Despite being slowed down this season by injury, Victor Osimhen has still managed to score 16 goals in 28 games for Napoli this season and he is still gearing up to score more.
