Fenerbahce who are 19-time Super Lig winners are reportedly interested in the signing of Super Eagles forward Peter Olayinka and would be making their move at the end of the ongoing season.

Peter Olayinka who currently plays for Slavia Prague in the Czech First League has produced string of excellent performances this season in all competition for his club.

His superb performances also helped him to be included in the Super Eagles squad that played at the 2021 African Cup of Nations held in Cameroon.

At the 2021 African Cup of Nations, Peter Olayinka featured in two games for Nigeria as they crashed out in the round of 16 losing against Tunisia.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) chiefs confirmed that the Super Eagles will face Mexico national team on 28 May in an international friendly match.

The football ruling body in Nigeria disclosed that the friendly encounter between the Super Eagles and Mexico national team will be played at the AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas.

Although the NFF chiefs have tendered an apology for the country's failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but many Nigerians are still pained that the Super Eagles won't appear in the prestigious tournament.

Coach Eguavoen who was in charge of the Super Eagles forced the Black Stars of Ghana to a goalless draw in the first leg of the play-offs, but played 1-1 in the return fixture in Abuja.
