Former Arsenal goalkeeper, Bernd Leno, has vowed to help the Gunners win the Premier League title this season.

The North Londoners are among the firm favourites to lift the crown after an incredible run of form under Mikel Arteta.

Arteta's charges are topping the charts with 83 points, having won 26 of their 34 fixtures this term.

However, they are facing stiff competition in their hopes of winning the coveted crown for the first time in two decades.

Reigning champions Manchester City are hot on Arsenal's heels, while Liverpool are also mathematically still in the race following their weekend victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

City, who still have a game in hand, are just a point behind Arsenal as the season enters its homestretch.

How Leno plans to help Arsenal win EPL

With Arsenal's hope of winning the Premier League largely dependent on how City fare in their remaining games, Leno has vowed to play a part in this.

Metro UK reports that Leno, who currently plays for Fulham, made the promise ahead of his side's meeting with Man City.

Pep Guardiola's men are scheduled to travel to Craven Cottage next week, with a win enough to momentarily send them to the summit of the table.

However, Leno has promised to stop them, with the German posting on Instagram:

"+1 and a clean sheet… two more games to go."

A cheeky Arsenal fan prayed:

"Same again next week brother. All [eyes] on you."

To which Leno replied:

"Okay boss!"

Arsenal legend backs Man City to win EPL

Earlier, Sports Brief also reported on Arsenal legend Ian Wright backing Manchester City to win the Premier League title this season.

Wright contends that the Citizens have the strength to withstand the intense title race pitting them with Arsenal.

This would be City's fourth consecutive domestic crown under Guardiola.
