Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has stated that although the first leg against Ghana ended in a draw, he believes Nigeria will defeat the Black Stars of Ghana in the reverse fixture.

The two West African rivals will face off on Tuesday night at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja and the winner on aggregates will qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

In an exclusive interview with Sports Brief, Captain Ahmed Musa urged fans to storm the stadium to complement the effort of the team.

He said:

"It ended there (in Ghana) 0-0 but now we will finish them in Abuja. We are doing our best to make our fans satisfied."

Musa also called on Nigerians to turn out en masse at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday evening when the Super Eagles host the Black Stars in the deciding encounter.

“We know what is happening in Nigeria at the moment and we want to make Nigerian fans happy.”

VAR to be installed

Meanwhile, Nigeria's all-important World Cup play-off second leg against the Black Stars of Ghana will be played under Video Assistant Referee (VAR) supervision.

Spokesperson to the Minister of Sports, Kola Daniel revealed that the VAR is already being installed at the stadium.

Nigeria is bidding to qualify for a 7th World Cup and will host the Black Stars in an all-important World Cup play-off decider at the Moshood Abiola Stadium to determine who picks one of Africa's five slots to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Black Stars ready for blockbuster tie in Nigeria

Sports Brief earlier reported that Black Stars centre-back, Alexander Djiku has revealed his readiness for the second leg of the World Cup play-offs against Nigeria in Abuja.

The Strasbourg defender was one of Ghana's top performers in the first leg in Kumasi, keeping Napoli star Victor Osimhen completely out of the game as the match ended in a goalless stalemate. W

With another 90 minutes to go for one of the teams to qualify for the World Cup, Djiku took to Twitter to state he is poised for the second leg in Abuja.
