Fans were calling for an immediate dismissal, but via The Telegraph, action will be taken at the end of the season. However, the guarantee that he will go beyond June is still being determined.

The former Paris Saint-Germain boss's contract expires at the end of the 2024/25 season, with the club holding an option to extend it for another year.

Chelsea players' stance on Pochettino

Despite the manager's uncertain future beyond the current season, the bosses at Stamford Bridge now have the upheaval task of relieving the Argentine off his duties.

According to the Evening Standard, some players are behind the coach, and sacking him could lead to unrest within the squad, which makes the decision even more complicated.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss has constantly publicly backed his players, and it is only fair they return the favour. He claims the team is in a process and will get better with time.

Poch has managed 45 games in charge of the Blues; he has won 22, drawn nine, and lost 14. He has averaged 1.47 points per game in the league; only Graham Potter has had worse stats in the last 20 years.

The club is on course to miss out in Europe for the second consecutive season, which could affect sponsorships and finances after over £1 billion was spent on transfers in two years.

Pochettino explains defeat at Arsenal

Sports Brief reported on Pochettino explaining what went wrong against Arsenal after his youthful Blues side were brushed aside 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

The manager claimed his players gave up after decisive moments in that match went against them, causing them to totally lose faith in themselves and their ability to turn it around.
